Drive Oregon Event Backed by Portland General Electric
Organizers of EV Roadmap 8 are stepping up their promotion of the electric vehicle event being held July 29-30 at the World Trade Center conference facility in Portland, Ore.
Drive Oregon cites “dramatic change’ in the EV market. “Sales continue their strong growth with electric vehicle registrations up by 69% last year alone.
“With 24 models available and another 20 expected by 2016, nearly every automaker will soon offer at least one electric model.”
But Drive Oregon cautions that “Widespread electric vehicle adoption requires a supportive ‘ecosystem’ of stakeholders, from utilities and local governments to vehicle OEMs, charging providers, interest groups, and drivers.”
The organization promises to bring “all of these stakeholders together in a highly interactive format to explore emerging trends, share best practices, and map the road ahead.”
On the EV Roadmap 8 agenda:
- Maximizing the Economic Benefits of Electric Vehicles
- Here Come the Long Range EVs!
- How will Electric Vehicles Pay for Roads?
Norway parliamentarian and former deputy mayor of Oslo Ola Elvestuen is a scheduled keynote speaker, as is IDTechEx founder and chairman Peter Harrop.
Portland General Electric is presenting sponsor.
