Feature Helps Make More Information Available to Fleet Managers
CarCharging has added a mileage-tracking feature for fleet users to the software that operates its Blink brand electric vehicle chargers on the Blink Network. Fleet managers, CarCharging says, may now require drivers to input individual vehicle mileage into the Blink EV charging station before each charging session.
Fleet customers have already been able to group their charging stations and restrict station access to specific drivers, “but were interested in additional information,” CarCharging says. With the new feature they can better monitor and analyze frequency of charging, energy consumption, and driving trends, in a single platform.
“Based on the feedback provided to us by station hosts that are fleet managers, we knew that it was imperative to increase the flexibility of the features available on the Blink Network,” CarCharing founder and CEO Michael Farkas said in a release.
“By incorporating the odometer value from fleet drivers at the time of each charging session, fleet managers now have valuable data at their fingertips.”
