Aldi Supermarket Chain in Germany Is Installing 50 QC20 DC Units

Efacec reports that the German supermarket chain Aldi, in partnership with the utility RWE, is installing Efacec QC20 DC fast chargers at 50 retail locations.

The first unit, which uses electricity from solar panels, was put into service last month at an Aldi store in Dusseldorf. By the end of the month there are to be 50 Efacec chargers there and in Frankfurt, Cologne, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Munich and Stuttgart.

The 20-kilowatt fast-charge units allow shoppers to get a full charge, or close to it, during their time in the store.
