Key Incentives for Fleet Deployment at Free Pre-ACT Expo Session
Is Presented in League with Plug-In Electric Vehicle Collaborative
A free one-hour webinar on the economics of electric vehicles for fleets will take place on February 10. Making Cents of Electric Vehicles: Key Incentives for Fleet Deployment will begin at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern time.
The Making Cents EV webinar will be presented in partnership with the California Plug-In Electric Vehicle Collaborative. It will be a preview of the EV programing at this year’s Advanced Clean Transportation “ACT” Expo, which takes place May 2-5 at Southern California’s Long Beach Convention Center.
ACT Expo 2016 is co-hosted by EDTA, the Washington, D.C.-based Electric Drive Transportation Association. It is organized by Fleets & Fuels publisher GNA: Gladstein, Neandross & Associates.
‘Fleets Are Looking More Closely’
“Now that EV technology in motorcycles, passenger vehicles, and various medium- and heavy-duty vehicles have been tested and proven in the marketplace, fleets are looking more closely at this growing segment of the clean vehicle industry,” GNA says.
The February 10 webinar will address the upfront costs of EVs and the uncertainties EV technology poses for fleet operators, with an emphasis on the growing number of grants and incentives that can ease the transition to electric power.
The scheduled presenters are
- Marc Deutsch, EV business development manager for the West and Northwest regions with Nissan, who focuses on developing relationships with Fortune 500 companies, government and universities on promoting the Nissan Leaf, fleet applications and workplace charging; and
- Joe Annotti, who manages GNA’s Funding 360° Program, which offers a comprehensive suite of grant tracking, writing, and management services. His staff tracks funding opportunities related to EVs and other alternative fuel vehicles at hundreds of agencies around the country, furnishing clients with key information on money to be add, often in advance of formal solicitations.
A recording of the first EV-rated ACT Expo webinar, January 12’s Shaking Things Up in EVSEs: A Discussion on “Roaming,” Pricing Models, Fleet Applications, and Inductive Charging, may be viewed online.
Abstracts for ACT Expo 2016 presentations are due February 15.
