‘Car Replacement Built to Combat Increasing Traffic Congestion’

Developers of the 100% battery-electric GenZe 2.0 are promoting the 232-pound scooter as “a true car replacement built to combat increasing traffic congestion – along with energy, pollution, parking, maintenance and other hassles.”

The GenZe 2.0 scooter is described as ‘a breakthrough, all-electric, two-wheel vehicle designed for urban commuters.’ It’s being marketed to a variety of private, university and government fleets as well.

The company is emphasizing the scooter as a handy, cloud-connected alterative for commuters but is also offering the vehicle to corporate, university and government fleets for such functions as community programs, parking enforcement, patrol and warehouse and campus use.

GenZe caters to customers “who are searching for efficient multi-modal and first/last mile solutions to help augment existing transportation infrastructures.”

Made in America by a Unit of Mahindra

The GenZe 2.0 has a 1.6-kilowatt-hour lithium ion battery affording a range of about 30 miles.

California-based GenZe is a unit of the India-headquartered multinational Mahindra Group. The GenZe 2.0 is manufactured in Ann Arbor, Mich.
