‘Designed for Fleet, Parking Lot, and Extreme Weather Conditions’

ClipperCreek is promoting a ruggedized version of its 32-amp, Level 2 HCS-40 electric vehicle charger. The new HCS-40R and HCS-40PR “are affordable solutions designed for fleet, parking lot, and extreme weather conditions,” the company says.

The price premium is $100, on top of the base price of $565 for the hardwired HCS-40 and $589 for the plug-in HCS-40P.

“For busy fleet and public sites, there is no charging station better suited to take care of the job,” ClipperCreek business operations manager Erik Mason said in a release: “ Low cost, great value, and high reliability.”

‘Can Take a Real Beating’

“As the market matures, we have found that the electric vehicle connector can take a real beating in some environments,” said company president Jason France. The product also features an impact- and crush-resistant SAE-J1772 connector.

The ruggedized chargers are compatible with ClipperCreek’s new ChargeGuard key-based access control solution (F&F, May 10) – a $78 option.
