And Will Launch New Northern California Network Next Week
EVgo, which claims the nation’s largest public-access network of fast DC chargers for electric vehicles, says it’s opened its 800th such installation, at a SaveMart store in Madera, Calif.
The site features two DC fast chargers manufactured by BTC/Broadband TelCom Power of Santa Ana, Calif. Each has connectors supporting the ChaDeMo standard for Nissan and Mitsubishi vehicles and the SAE Combo for BMW, Chevrolet and other EVs.
More to Come
“The site at SaveMart Madera is a perfect example of where EVgo feels infrastructure expansion is needed,” product strategy and market development VP Terry O’Day said in a release yesterday. “It is located in a high-traffic retail area close to many other amenities and major travel arteries.”
The company, now a unit of Vision Ridge, says it operates more than fast chargers in California, “with another 130 planned, currently under construction or in the permitting process.”
Separately, EVgo will hold a kickoff event this coming Monday, November 14, for a new Northern California network of 50 DC fast-chargers.
