Hino Rakes in the Praise, J.D. Power Style

Garners J.D. Power Awards, Again; Owners Like the Hybrid

Hino Trucks is talking up its customer satisfaction record, notably its fifth-in-a-row J.D. Power customer satisfaction award from J.D. Power for medium duty engines, and its third consecutive J.D. Power trophy for medium duty trucks.

The awards reaffirm, Hino says, “that when it comes to the voice of the customer or customer satisfaction with medium duty truck engines and transmissions, Hino consistently ranks highest in customer satisfaction.”

“We are once again thrilled with the results of the J.D. Power customer satisfaction study,” Hino marketing VP Glenn Ellis said in a release. “We are pleased that our engine technology is leading the way in overall customer satisfaction.

‘A Great Response’

“This truly validates our commitment to providing the highest level of satisfaction, our customers will realize low cost of ownership.”

Ellis told F&F that Hino has sold nearly 70 of its new 195h COE (cab-over-engine) hybrid electric trucks in California. “Unique to Hino,” he says, “we are getting a great response from individual users.”
