2016 RAV4 Hybrid Debuts in New York, Its Toyota’s Eighth
Toyota is promising not only better mileage but “more horsepower and better acceleration than the conventional RAV4” for the RAV4 Hybrid.
“Toyota has been the overwhelming gas-electric hybrid sales leader in the U.S. since 2000,” the automaker said in a release at the New York International Auto Show.
“Now, 15 years after the first Prius was sold in the U.S., Toyota has unveiled its eighth hybrid offering as part of the refreshed 2016 RAV4.”
MPG? Price? Stay Tuned
“Fewer fill-ups will become the norm,” Toyota said, talking up a superior interior, better handling, new rear bumper and lift gate, front and rear parking sonar, automated pre-collision braking, and an optional new four-camera “Bird’s Eye View Monitor” with perimeter scan – said to be an industry first.
