And, Luxfer Is Expanding at Riverside to Larger CNG Tanks
The UK’s Luxfer Group, parent of Luxfer Gas Cylinders, has given word that with “overwhelming” approval Dynetek Industries shareholders, Luxfer has closed on its acquisition of the financially beleaguered Canadian manufacturer of Type III compressed natural gas (and hydrogen) fuel cylinders (F&F, August 6).
“The acquisition of Dynetek reinforces Luxfer’s position as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-pressure gas cylinders, now with eight manufacturing plants in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, China and India, plus joint ventures (in the area of alternative fuel) in India and South Korea,” Luxfer said.
Luxfer is investing some $3 million in new winding equipment at its cylinder manufacturing facility in Riverside, Calif., says a company source. Luxfer will offer CNG cylinders up to 28 inches in diameter.
