Linde’s got two hydrogen fueling outlets in California now and pledges ‘five more to follow.’

“This newly operational fueling station follows the one we opened at the Ramos Oil Company station in West Sacramento earlier this year,” Linde hydrogen fueling VP Mike Beckman said in a release (F&F, December 15, 2014).

“The San Juan Capistrano station is our first station in Southern California,” he said, adding, “We expect to open another five stations in California during the next year, starting in the San Francisco Bay Area.”

IC 90 Ionic Compressor

Linde notes the use of its IC 90 ionic compressor, which it says is “the next generation of hydrogen compression technology,” enabling higher throughput and enhanced back-to-back fueling.

“With this compressor, Linde has made a valuable contribution to the ongoing enhancement of today’s hydrogen fueling infrastructure,” said hydrogen fueling business development manager Nitin Natesan.

Linde notes support from the California Energy Commission and South Coast Air Quality Management District.
