More LNG Ships Ordered in Europe

Singapore- and Norway-based STX OSV reports a contract worth approximately $33 million to build an LNG-fueled forage carrier, of Rolls-Royce NVC-401 design, for Norway’s Eidsvaag AS.

Singapore- and Norway-based STX OSV reports a contract worth approximately $33 million to build an LNG-fueled forage carrier, of Rolls-Royce NVC-401 design, for Norway’s Eidsvaag AS. Eidsvaag will use the 246-foot ship, which is to be delivered from STX OSV Brattvaag in Norway in the second quarter 2013, to haul fish feed for Skretting AS.

Separately, STX Finland reported a contract with the Finnish Border Guard for an LNG-capable, 315-foot offshore patrol vessel, to be built at the STX Rauma shipyard for delivery in November 2013.
