NGVAmerica has compiled a listing of available natural gas vehicle aftermarket conversion systems, including both U.S. EPA and California Air Resources Board certifications and approvals.

NGVAmerica has compiled an extensive, detailed listing of available natural gas aftermarket conversion systems and has posted it on the NGVAmerica.org website. Illustration shows but a fraction of the listings for Ford vehicles alone.

“The very extensive listing shows that aftermarket suppliers are aggressively responding to the growing demand for NGVs,” the association says.

The NGVAmerica compilation includes systems that have been approved under EPA’s new rules for intermediate life and beyond useful life vehicles or engines (also known as OUL, for outside useful life) – which “appear to be having the most impact on the availability of natural gas systems for converting heavy-duty engines.”

The information is organized by OEM, then model year, then engine size. NGVAmerica notes that at present, there are no certified or approved aftermarket systems for any of the light-duty foreign imports or foreign vehicles manufactured in the U.S., like Toyota or Volkswagen.
