‘Two Alternative Fuel Powers Align’ for NGVs in Canada
Landi Renzo USA is talking up a new natural gas vehicle partnership with Ontario-headquartered National Energy Equipment, which Landi says is “Canada’s largest energy equipment distributor.” Their distribution agreement covers the complete line of Landi’s U.S. EPA- and California-certified systems for NGV upfits.
NEE designs, distributes and services complete fuel delivery systems and fluid handling systems for use in agriculture, aviation, commercial/retail petroleum, and industrial/bulk plant applications, Landi says. It is “a pioneer in the Canadian automotive conversion business with over 30 years of experience across all Canadian provinces.”
The new pact allows NEE to expand its existing alt fuel line to include Landi Renzo USA’s certified CNG portfolio, “specifically Landi Renzo’s latest bi-fuel systems available on Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks.”
The agreement covers
- Ford E-150, E-250 & E-350 with 5.4-liter V-8 engine;
- Ford F-250 & F-350 with 6.2-liter V-8;
- Ford F-450, F-550 and F-650 with 6.8-liter V-10;
- Isuzu NPR HD with 6.0-liter V-8;
- GM 2500HD and 3500HD Cab Chassis with 6.0-liter V-8; and
- GMC Savana & Chevrolet Express Cutaway with 6.0-liter V-8 -.
NEE singles out the new bi-fuel system for the Ford F-450 and F-550 (F&F, February 18). “These two bi-fuel products alone provide tremendous opportunity for our 13 warehouse facilities located across Canada,” NEE alt fuel technology director Rene Vandriel says in the Landi Renzo USA release.
Privately owned National Energy Equipment employs more than 425 people and manages some 300,000 square feet of warehouse space “in every province across Canada.”
The firm disclosed a distribution for propane vehicle equipment with Italy’s Landi Renzo SpA in September 2009.
