Certifications in Hand for F-250 Through F-650 Trucks for 2014
EPA for F-250/350 Bi-Fuels & CARB for Dedicated F-450/55/650
Landi Renzo USA, already claiming the industry’s widest selection natural gas vehicle platforms, has certified medium and duty heavy Ford trucks for its line-up for the 2014 model year. The various certifications cover 6.2- and 6.8-liter engines.
Landi is both ahead of its own schedule, and, says sales manager Ryan Waltz, “ahead of the competition in obtaining our CARB and EPA certifications for 2014 MY Ford vehicles.”
Landi has announced U.S. EPA certification of its bi-fuel compressed natural gas-gasoline upfits for the Ford F-250 and F-350 for the 2014 model year. It has also secured, and will announce Monday, California Air Resources Board certification of F-450, F-550, and F-650 with the 6.8-liter engine. “Bi-fuel EPA certification is anticipated shortly,” says Waltz.
Landi Renzo USA is a Ford QVM – Qualified Vehicle Modifier. It stands ready to supply CNG-capable Ford pick-up, chassis cab, and service body trucks by ship-through via Ford dealers, and by way of its own network of Landi-approved QVM installers.
More than Just Ford Bi-Fuels
Landi’s Baytech unit offers CNG upfits of GM vehicles.
In addition to Ford and GM, Landi recently branched into Class 8 Freightliner trucks with dual fuel upfits of 12.7-liter Detroit Diesel engines in partnership with Baker Equipment (F&F, June 21).
Landi Renzo USA notes that it’s a subsidiary of Italy’s Landi Renzo SpA, which has more than 60 years of experience in NGVs, and is “distinguished by the sustained growth of its revenues and the extent of its international operations, with a presence in over 50 countries.”
