Minnesota TA Gas Summit Thursday

‘We Have the Natural Gas Supply, the Engines, the Distribution’

The Minnesota Trucking Association will host a Natural Gas Summit this Thursday, October 17 at the Earle Brown Center in Brooklyn Center, outside Minneapolis.

MTA says it “believes strongly in natural gas as a clean fuel for trucks.”

MinnTA“The infrastructure is in place,” MTA president John Hausladen said in a release.

Kwik Trip, Dart, 3M

“We have the natural gas supply, the engines, the distribution and fueling stations,” Hausladen said. “We know we can increase the use of natural gas when we talk candidly about what it takes to add natural gas trucks to your fleet and what it takes to upgrade service facilities to maintain them.”

Kwik Trip alt fuels manager Joel Hirschboeck is a scheduled speaker, as is Dave Oren, president of Eagan-based Dart Transit. Speakers are expected too from 3M, Clean Energy Fuels, Cummins Westport, Ryder System, UPS and the truck manufacturers Kenworth, Volvo and Daimler.
