Jim Arthurs to Speak at Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Workshop
Louisiana’s Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will host the South Louisiana NGV Workshop on November 8.
The workshop will be held at the Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) Center adjacent to the Lafayette campus of the University of Louisiana. Backers include Apache Corp, the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association, the Lafayette Consolidated Government, and Louisiana Clean Fuels.
Cummins Westport president Jim Arthurs is the keynote speaker. Other presenters will review South Louisiana NGV fleet initiatives, vehicle manufacturers’ and upfitters’ natural gas vehicle product offerings, and available government incentives and economics.
“The focus of the workshop is to provide fleet managers with the information that will enable them to begin their fleet transformations to natural gas power,” says Apache VP Frank Chapel.
The workshop, which runs from 9am until 1pm, will include a display of light, medium and heavy duty CNG- and LNG-powered vehicles.
