‘Low Complexity, Rapidly Deployed Dispensing Solution’
Linde’s BOC unit unveiled a new mobile fueling unit for liquefied natural gas-powered vehicles at this month’s Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, England. The new mobile fueler, is aimed at the UK and Ireland markets.
The new unit can supply as many as 30 vehicles, BOC says, “and is perfect for medium-sized fleets which require a low complexity, rapidly deployed dispensing solution. A “zero-loss” BOC design includes a liquid nitrogen temperature conditioning system with vapor recovery to maximize efficiency and recover warm vent gases from the vehicle.
The new unit “eliminates LNG methane losses, saving money and emissions and delivering a quicker, consistent refueling time,” the company says.
A New Look, Too
Performance features include mass flow metering for precise dispensing. BOC’s new mobile fueler works with customers’ existing fuel management systems to monitor fleet usage and trip data, too, the company says. Further, the unit is also linked to BOC’s 24-hour “GOLD” delivery planning system, “ensuring delivery on time, every time.”
BOC is also emphasizing a new visual identity for its LNG fuel supply business. The “simple and elegant new livery design ties in with the environmental messages and also conveys the transition of the UK vehicle fleet to clean tail pipe emissions,” the company says.
