Shell said today that it’s opened its second liquefied natural gas fueling outlet for trucks in California, with new LNG fueling lanes at partner’s TravelCenters of America truck stop on Interstate 5 in Santa Nella, in California’s Central Valley.

Shell and TA opened their first outlet for LNG trucks in California in May 2014 and opened stations in Louisiana and Texas earlier in the year (F&F, March 30). The Shell LNG truck fueling network now numbers seven sites in the U.S. and Canada.

This new station will provide LNG fueling service for operators out of Los Angeles (Ontario) north toward Sacramento and beyond.

“I am excited by the progress we have made in developing the LNG fueling network in the U.S.,” Shell North America fuels sales and marketing VP Elen Phillips said in a release. “LNG is a viable fuel option for truck owners.”
