Phoenix-based U-Haul is now accepting the Wright Express fuel card for fueling propane autogas vehicles.
Advantages include at-the-pump payment, “which means that our customers will receive prompt, fast service with no lines and will never have to go into the U-Haul store to pay for the propane they purchase,” U-Haul propane program manager JP White said in a release. Customers can receive their receipts via email.
CNG Too, and EVs Coming
“We are delighted,” said Wright Express sales and marketing VP David Maxsimic. “Practically and culturally we are well suited.” Wright Express notes that its fuel card can also be used for compressed natural gas, and that it is “expanding network acceptance” to allow customers to use their fuel cards for electric vehicle charging.
U-Haul has more than 1,000 propane autogas fueling locations in the U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska, all standing ready to support more than 300,000 propane autogas powered trucks, buses and automobiles.
An online travel planner allows U-Haul customers to plug in departure and destination locations and see the U-Haul propane autogas fueling locations along their route.
“Our customers now can travel with confidence and never fear that they will run out of propane,” White said.
