R.H. Foster Energy’s Grand Opening in Ellsworth Next Week
R.H. Foster Energy will host the grand opening of Maine’s first public access fueling station for propane autogas on May 20 in Ellsworth, near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A second is to open next month, in Hampden, Maine.
The Ellsworth station has a CleanFuel USA-Gilbarco installation supplied by Ray Murray, Inc. of Lee, Mass.
Foster executive VP Robert Tracy, Propane Education & Research Council president and CEO Roy Willis, Roush VP Todd Mouw and Steve Linell of the Maine Clean Communities Coalition are slated to speak at the afternoon event.
The company has ordered an Ford F-250 truck and an E-250 van converted to dedicated-propane operation using Roush CleanTech equipment, says Roush rep Chelsea Jenkins.
‘We Have 25 Convenience Stores’
Foster is well poised to bring even more propane fueling to main, says wholesale business development manager Jim Van Uden. “We have 25 convenience stores,” any of which could host a propane fueling station, he told F&F. Foster also has some two dozen gasoline outlets in Maine.
The firm’s second public access propane autogas station will open at a cardlock in Hampden, near Bangor, in June.
