First-Ever UL Nod for Gilbarco Encore S LPG Retail Propane Autogas Dispenser

CleanFuel USA said today that it’s secured the first-ever Underwriters Laboratories listing for the Gilbarco Encore S LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) retail fuel dispenser for propane autogas.

CleanFuel USA’s Gilbarco Encore S LPG retail dispenser has UL and NCWM approvals.

“As we continue to install autogas refueling stations throughout the world, we must take steps to validate our technology performance and safety,” CleanFuel USA founder and managing partner Curtis Donaldson said in a release.

CleanFuel USA receives Encore 700 S and Encore S cabinets and electronics directly from Gilbarco, and completes the autogas dispenser with UL-listed components. “The finished product results in a top-of-the-line autogas dispenser, typically installed at retail settings with public access and controlled clientele, and features full retail capabilities for Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance,” CleanFuel USA says.

It’s NCWM-Approved Too

“Partnering with Gilbarco and adding a UL-listed dispenser to our product lineup signifies our commitment to exceeding customer expectations in alternative fuel dispensing, and highlights our continued leadership in the autogas industry,” Donaldson said.

The CleanFuel USA Gilbarco Encore S dispenser holds National Conference on Weights and Measures approval, too. It is available as a single or dual-sided unit.

CleanFuel USA further reminds that propane autogas is the third most widely used transportation fuel globally – behind gasoline and diesel, “and is proven to be the most attractive option from an economic and environmental standpoint.

“Already the leading alternative fuel in the United States, propane autogas costs an average of 30 to 40% less than gasoline, and up to 50% less than diesel.”
