Pennsylvania User Wants to Extend Benefits to Area Fleets
Philadelphia-area Wilson Oil & Propane operates five Ford E-350 vans converted with equipment from Icom North America, expects two more, and says it will add dedicated-propane Ford Transit vehicles with Roush CleanTech upfits when the new trucks become available later this year.
The Wallingford, Pa. propane dealer is making the case for propane autogas to other area fleets – to which it stands ready to supply fuel.
Propane autogas costs $1 to $1.50 less per gallon than gasoline, Wilson says, and according to company president David O’Connell, is far cheaper in terms of initial vehicle costs and fueling infrastructure than compressed natural gas.
Fleet Sales Expert Wanted
“We’ll get you set up,” the company says.
Wilson serves Pennsylvania’s Delaware, Chester and Montgomery counties, New Castle county in Delaware, and Gloucester and Salem counties, N.J.
