Fuel-Neutral Show to Feature Expanded Electric Drive Agenda
The organizers of ACT Expo, the Alternative Clean Transportation conference and exhibition, have formed an alliance with the Washington, D.C.-based Electric Drive Transportation Association for the 2015 event, taking place May 4-7 in Dallas.
ACT Expo will return to Long Beach, Calif the following year: May 2-5, 2016.
ACT Expo organizer (and Fleets & Fuels publisher) Gladstein, Neandross & Associates expects more than 4,000 conference attendees and 250 sponsors and exhibitors at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
ACT Expo 2015 will encompass the latest alternative fuel and clean vehicle technologies for all weight classes – “from electric drive, to hybrid, hydrogen, natural gas, propane autogas, renewables, and efficiency technologies.”
“Throughout the U.S., we are seeing records sales of electric vehicles, with the number of plug-in vehicles on American roads growing by 89% from this time last year,” says GNA CEO Erik Neandross.
‘A True One-Stop Shop,’ Says Wynne
“Working with EDTA, the 2015 event in Dallas will undoubtedly have a bigger and better showcase of all things transportation electrification – complementing the existing lineup of AFV technologies – in one of the nation’s largest transportation hubs,” Neandross said.
GNA is emphasizing ACT Expo’s fuel-neutral stance. The alliance with EDTA will result in “an expanded electric drive agenda component to show how the industry is meeting growing charging infrastructure demand,” the company says.
The exhibit hall will include a wide range of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell vehicle technologies as the conference provides a forum for expanding the reach of EDTA’s members to a global audience of public and private fleets, OEMs, engineers, policy makers, and government official.
PERC’s a Presenting Sponsor Again
“Electric drive vehicles are helping to advance American energy security, environmental sustainability, and independence from a monopoly fuel,” said EDTA president Brian Wynne.
“Leveraging ACT Expo’s well-established reach into the fleet market will allow us to further grow awareness and promote the benefits of electrified transportation to a wider consumer audience, connecting with fleet operators at a true one-stop shop event.”
GNA notes that PERC, the Propane Education & Research Council, has signed on as a third-time presenting sponsor of ACT Expo. Additional high-level industry partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks.
