New Station Is First 24/7 for Los Angeles International Airport
Paso Robles, Calif.-based Arro Autogas reports the opening of the first ’round-the-clock propane autogas fueling outlet serving the Los Angeles International Airport. The station in Inglewood, near the Interstate 405 and 105 freeway corridors, is a joint project with Expo Propane.
“LAX is such a major hub for California drivers, and there are so many propane vehicles that service the airport,” Arro Autogas market manager Ted Olsen said in a release.
“Up until now, there has never been a 24/7 propane autogas station to provide refueling services in this busy, high traffic area,” Olsen said. “We saw the need and were glad to join forces with Expo Propane to open an accessible option for area drivers who choose to burn a cleaner fuel in their vehicles.”
Access Via Arro’s Prokee
Expo Propane operates six CleanFuel USA branded propane motor fuel stations in Southern California. Expo holds the lease to the LAX-area property, Arro says, and provides the propane fuel and tank for the station. Arro Autogas provides the fuel dispensing equipment and the fuel management software for the station, using its advanced, Prokee-controlled system.
“Arro Autogas already has seven stations in the LA basin alone and was looking to us to help provide access to autogas closer to LAX,” said Expo Propane autrogas director Steve Moore. “Since Expo Propane had the existing lease on this property, it made sense to come together with Arro Autogas on this project…
“Now, both of our companies’ propane fleet customers can access and benefit from this conveniently located station.”
A grand opening is being planned.
Arro notes that in addition to the joint project at LAX, Expo Propane customers can fuel at any of Arro’s 16 stations throughout California using the simple 24/7 access Prokee system.
