Liquid Autogas Consortium Seeks to Facilitate Fleet Use
Icom North America is promoting a new Liquid Autogas Consortium intended to make it easier for fleets to make the switch to propane autogas fuel.
The consortium’s major objectives are to increase the number of autogas vehicles whether OEM or installations and provide the Liquid Autogas Consortium propane fueling partners with the tools to increase gallons,” states a release.
- facilitating autogas utilization by fleets as a seamless and positive transition;
- eventual common utilization of autogas by fleets across North America;
- minimizing the costs of autogas utilization for maximum growth; and
- one-stop-shopping and a seamless transition as much as practical for fleets.
The Consortium’s vision for one-stop shopping includes education and training, the availability of quality, U.S. EPA-approved propane systems for vehicles, financing, vehicle service, vehicle dealer support, propane fueling stations, small propane engine systems and support, and fuel pricing through the Liquid Autogas Consortium’s partners.
Fleets may join the Liquid Autogas Consortium at no cost.
Propane fuel supply partners, propane equipment manufacturers and vehicle and engine suppliers are invited to join on a modest fee basis.
