Propane Autogas Conversion Systems Sales Surged 44%
The year 2015 was a good one for Alliance AutoGas, the organization said today, reporting that more than 45 million gallons of gasoline was displaced by propane autogas last year, “producing $54 million in fuel cost savings.”
“The 460 fleet customers that Alliance AutoGas serves continue to add vehicles and we are also pleased at the progress we made in the second half of 2015 adding new fleets despite low gasoline and diesel prices,” Alliance Autogas president Stuart Weidie said in a release.
“This is a testament to the quality of our systems coupled with the economic and emissions reductions provided by propane,” Weidie said.
“The sale of Alliance conversion systems increased by 44% in 2015,” said Blossman Services president Ed Hoffman. “This growth is fueled by many variables, including our vehicle platform focus and our world-class plug-and-play engine conversion system design.”
“Our sales growth can also be linked back to product design,” Hoffman said, citing “simplified wiring and autogas injection technologies [putting the] Alliance in the forefront of conversion installations.
Ease of Installation
“Everything is bracketed and designed to be installed without any cutting, drilling or fabrication,” he said. “The system does not require any permanent vehicle modifications.
“Unlike previous generation conversion ‘kits,’ that would require upwards of 15 hours to install and a lot of field engineering, our newer systems are being installed in well under six hours.”
Better Fueling Nozzles
Alliance AutoGas also noted the introduction of low-emission, safe-connect fueling nozzles (F&F, December 9, 2014), which were fully implemented by Blossman/Alliance AutoGas across North America by February 2015.
“The improved safety and ease of refueling gained quick acceptance with Alliance fleet customers and is also gaining momentum within the propane industry,” the organization said today.
Alliance AutoGas is an organization of more than 120 independent propane autogas marketing and authorized conversion center members in 48 states and Canada. It is managed by its parent company Blossman Gas, Inc. Subsidiary Blossman Services is the equipment distributor for Alliance AutoGas.
