Pro-Vend Line Can be Situated with Conventional Fuels
Superior Energy Systems says it’s secured across-the-board CSA/Canadian Standards Association listings per Underwriters Laboratories UL 495 and CAN1-12.4 standards for its Pro-Vend propane autogas dispensers. It’s the first such approval electronic propane autogas fuel dispensers, the company says, and means the units can be deployed on the same fueling islands as gasoline and diesel dispensers, in either private fleet or centralized fueling locations.
“It allows us to be a little more flexible,” says Mike Walters, SES safety and training VP.
In addition to creating added fueling convenience, the listings also signify that the Pro-Vend 1000, 2000 and 1500/2500 dual-hose meet NFPA/National Fire Protection Association standards for approved propane autogas dispensers.
Coriolis Flow Meters
The listings cover the dispensers’ mass flow meter technology, “which virtually eliminates unaccounted fuel that slips through the worn moving parts of mechanical meters,” SES says. The firm’s dispensers employ anti-corrosive, stainless-steel coriolis mass flow meters.
SES says that its propane dispensers were also the first to receive National Type Evaluation Program certification from the National Conference of Weights and Measures, “and are fully NTEP-certified for every state in the U.S.
“Certification signifies proof of accurate fueling costs based on local weights and measures requirements,” the firm says.
Walters noted too that SES that is the first propane dispenser manufacturer to provide web-based e-commerce and a fully integrated fuel management system through its Pro-Vend 2000 and 2500 dispensers.
The system tracks vehicle and driver identification, vehicle mileage and fuel usage, and creates customizable reports.
Safer and More Reliable
“Superior Energy Systems is in a virtual state of research and development, tirelessly working to meet all standards and make propane autogas easier to adopt in both private and centralized settings,” Walters says in the approvals announcement.
“We have received increased demand for our Pro-Vend electronic propane autogas dispensers due to our engineering expertise, and our CSA and UL listings enhance the safety, reliability and recognition of our products,” said Jim Bunsey, director of operations.
