Colorado’s RAQC Has $4 Million for AFVs

Applications Due February 29 Under Latest RAQC Round

Colorado’s Regional Air Quality Council has launched a new round of funding for alternative fuel vehicle purchases in ozone nonattainment and carbon monoxide maintenance areas, with grants ranging from $3,000 for light duty AFVs for private fleets $35,000 for heavy-duty AFVs for non-profit or public fleets.

RAQCDedicated-CNG/compressed natural gas, CNG-gasoline bi-fuel, propane autogas and electric vehicles are eligible under the Alt Fuels Colorado initiative.

Noble Supports CNG School Buses

A total of $4 million is available for the latest round under the state’s four-year, $30 million program.

In concert with the federally backed Alt Fuels Colorado program, Noble Energy is providing funding for CNG school buses for school districts in the ozone nonattainment areas. Interested school districts apply via RAQC’s Alt Fuels Colorado program.

Applications under this latest Alt Fuels Colorado vehicle funding round are due February 29. The agency will answer questions until the close of business on February 12.
