New Tubing Line Is Designed for Extreme Pressures, Reduced Welding
Delaware’s HandyTube, citing the growing popularity of compressed natural gas for vehicle fueling, has launched the CNG Plus Tubing line to help insure safe handling of the high-pressure product – and to make it easier to construct CNG fueling installations.
“CNG Plus Tubing meets the unique requirements of each station and can be provided in exact lengths without any longitudinal or orbital welds,” the company says.
.5- and .75-inch Variants
Welds “present an opportunity for defect,” notes a brochure, and also increase labor costs.
CNG Plus Tubing meets ASTM A269 and ASTM A213 requirements, including hydrostatic testing and positive material identification. Several alloy types are available, as are outside diameters of one-half and three-quarter inch.
