Brushless Oil Pump and Brushless Alternator
Michigan’s Engineered Machined Products is promoting a new brushless DC electric oil pump and an air-cooled brushless alternator that can deliver 325 amps at idle.
The robust new oil pump is suitable for lubrication, cooling, hybrids, oil scavenge, oil change, engine parasitics and by-pass filtration, EMP says, with on-highway, off-highway, hybrid, construction, forestry, agriculture, power generation, marine, military and other specialty engine market applications.
The EMP Power 535 brushless alternator is durable enough for “the harshest of commercial conditions,” the manufacturer says: “high efficiency enables the Power 535 to run cooler thereby achieving a longer life.” The unit is ground-isolated and includes an electrical noise suppression feature to provide clean electrical power.
EMP is also promoting an fuel-saving remote-mount air conditioner condenser developed with Walmart.
