$2 Million Station for City, Schools and Local Fleets

American Fueling Systems has opened a compressed natural gas fueling outlet in Columbus, Ga. – the first in Columbus and the second-largest in Georgia, the company says. “This $2 million facility will service the fueling needs for the City of Columbus, Muscogee County Schools, and many other public and private fleets in the area,” states an AFS release.

$1.6 Million Facility Is the First in Georgia Owned by a City

The City of Covington, just east of Atlanta, has opened its first “Green Fuels Facility” featuring compressed natural gas, says American Fueling Systems, which publicized the award of a $1.6 million contract for the station this past summer. It is the first city-owned CNG station in the state of Georgia, AFS says.
