Ottawa-Based Association Hosting March Workshop in Hamilton
Canada’s Biogas Association is promoting a March meeting covering the use of renewable natural gas as a vehicle fuel.
The Ottawa-based association notes that waste haulers are increasingly turning to compressed natural gas to fuel their trucks, due to due to lower natural gas prices and improved CNG vehicle technology, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
“Waste haulers can help close the loop by diverting organic materials from landfill, which can be used to generate biogas and carbon-neutral renewable natural gas,” the group adds.
Just a Nickel a Gallon More
“Blending in 10% RNG further reduces vehicle emissions, and costs only an additional 5 cents per diesel liter equivalent, making it cost effective when compared with diesel and gasoline.”
The Closing the Loop workshop is being held at the Courtyard Marriott in Hamilton, Ont. March 25-26.
