Ecotality Warns of Bankruptcy

Financial and Technical Problems Prompt SEC Filing

San Francisco-based Ecotality, bemoaning the wind-down of the U.S. DoE-based EV Project, a lack of revenue after it failed to being a new Minit Charger to market, quality problems with existing Blink electric vehicle charging installations, and labor difficulties, advised the federal Securities and Exchange Commission Monday that it may have to file for bankruptcy protection.

Ecotality Supplying Workplace Chargers at 12 Locations

Texas Instruments will install 46 Blink Level 2 charging stations at 12 office locations throughout Texas, including nine at its corporate headquarters in Dallas, says Blink manufacturer Ecotality.

Ecotality Chargers for Kroger

Additional 225 EV Units Planned for California and Arizona

Ecotality is talking up an expanded partnership with the Kroger supermarket chain which calls for more than 200 Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations and 25 DC fast chargers to be installed in key market areas. The multi-million dollar expansion will bring the total number of Ecotality’s Blink brand chargers at Kroger stores to nearly 300.
