Blossman Gas has acquired Southern Propane in Jacksonville, Fla. Southern’s 2,500 customers “will join Blossman’s customer base of 150,000,” Blossman said, noting that it will service its Jacksonville-based autogas customers from the new location.

Alliance AutoGas is talking up two new members in Wisconsin, as Dave Jones, Inc. and the Fillback Family of Dealerships have signed on, converting vehicles to propane-gasoline bi-fuel operation. The two Madison-area firms are using Prins VSI conversion equipment, and are working with Charter Fuels for propane supply.

Sheriff in North Carolina Runs Ten Cruisers on Propane

The Sheriff’s Office in Buncombe County, N.C., expects to save more than $13,000 per year – and is displacing 20 tons of greenhouse gas emissions – by running ten Ford Crown Victoria cruisers on propane autogas. Buncombe received funding under SPADP, the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program, administered by Virginia Clean Cities.
