Nikola Motor has named PowerCell AB and Bosch as the primary suppliers of fuel cells for its Class 8 hydrogen-fueled electric truck, and Norway’s Nel ASA “as the sole equipment supplier to create the largest hydrogen network in the world that will cover over 2,000 miles and include 16 stations.”

A ‘Milestone’ in the Development of DC Fast Charge Infrastructure

BMW has introduced a 24-kilowatt a DC fast charger, developed with Bosch and manufactured by IES in France. The unit is half the size of currently available DC chargers, is compatible with multiple electric vehicles and the ChargePoint network, BMW says, and is “significantly more affordable.”

Battery and Fossil Fuel Cars Built on Same Hambach Line

Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz unit is claiming the first series production of an electric vehicle in Europe as the battery version of the two-seat Smart Fortwo car is manufactured at Hambach, France. Both electric and combustion-engine cars are built on the same line at the $260 million facility, dubbed “Smartville.”
