FedEx Freight Wins NGVAmerica Achievement Award Too

Less than a month after announcing a new compressed natural gas fueling facility in support of 100 FedEx trucks in Oklahoma City, Clean Energy Fuels announced that it plans to supply the station with its Redeem brand RNG/renewable natural gas. NGVAmerica presented the NGV Achievement Award to FedEx Freight at a ceremony at the new station on Tuesday.

Carrier Is Adding 24 New CNG-Fueled Paccar Trucks Too

Longtime Clean Energy Fuels customer Dillon Transport has committed to using the supplier’s Redeem brand biomethane in natural gas-fueled trucks in Texas. The initial supply of Redeem, also known as RNG/renewable natural gas, will be from Clean Energy’s Irving Blvd. station in Dallas. Dillon will also use Redeem when fueling in San Antonio, Midland/Odessa and Houston.

Sales of the Renewable Natural Gas More than Doubled in 2015

Clean Energy Fuels said today that its sales of Redeem brand biomethane, aka renewable natural gas, more than doubled last year to 50 million gallons, from 20 million gallons in 2014. Sales of Redeem have also expanded from California to an unnamed customer in Oregon, and to UPS in Texas.

State’s First for ‘Pipeline-Quality RNG from Organics Recycling’

CR&R Waste & Recycling expects by this coming fourth quarter to be producing organic refuse-derived biomethane to fuel its natural gas truck fleet. UK-based Greenlane Biogas is providing engineering services to upgrade product from a new anaerobic digester in Perris, Calif., southeast of Los Angeles. Initial annual output is pegged at about a million diesel gallon equivalents.
