Five Demo Tractors with the New ISX12 G Engine Available

Freightliner Trucks has launched a customer demo program for its new compressed natural gas-fueled Freightliner Cascadia 113 day cab. Five tractors will be available in the U.S. and Canada “to provide customers direct experience with Freightliner’s newest alternative fuel product,” the manufacturer says.

The Cascadia Evolution for 2014 is a state-of-the-art diesel, powered by a newly designed Detroit Diesel DD15 engine with such “fuel squeezing options” as wide-base tires, enhanced aerodynamics and DT12 automated manual transmission delivering an impressive 10.67 miles per gallon at the Continental Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas.
