CrossBlue Concept  Would Have 14-Mile All-Electric Range

Volkswagen is taking the occasion of the NAIAS Detroit Auto Show to show its CrossBlue diesel plug-in hybrid electric SUV for the first time. The vehicle’s MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix) series hybrid driveline yields zero-to-60-mph acceleration of 7.2 seconds, a combined fuel economy rating of 35 miles per gallon (89 mpge electric), and all-battery range of about 14 miles.
