Beyond the Lithium Battery, Key Components from Korea

GM is crediting various affiliates of lithium battery supplier LG Chem for helping it develop the new 100% battery electric Chevrolet Bolt for 2016. “General Motors set aside traditional vehicle development to create the Chevrolet Bolt EV, which can travel more than 200 miles on a single electric charge,” states a release.

New 200-Mile Chevrolet EV Is to Be Priced at About $30,000

Chevrolet confirms that it will go ahead with production of its new Bolt electric vehicle, a 200-mile, fast charge-capable, all-battery car that’s to be priced at about $30,000. Bolt is to be built at GM’s Orion assembly facility north of Detroit.
