First Kroger Unit Gets Alt Fuel Trucks

Fred Meyer Stores in Oregon Gets First 11 LNG Freightliner Trucks:
Fleet of 40 Is to Use a Million Gallons a Year of Clean Energy Product

Clean Energy Fuels is talking up the delivery of the first 11 of 40 liquefied natural gas-fueled Freightliner trucks to Kroger’s Fred Meyer Stores in Oregon. The fleet is to fuel at a private station custom-built by Clean Energy at Fred Meyer’s Clackamas Distribution Center off Interstate 205 outside Portland.

A New LNG Station in Oregon to Fuel Cascadia with iCE Pack Tanks,
Clean Energy Also Supplying LNG, Some Bio-Based, for ATN’s Buses

Clean Energy Fuels and Westport will support a new fleet of 40 liquefied natural gas-fueled Freightliner Cascadia trucks for the food chain Kroger in Oregon. Clean Energy Fuels is to design and engineer a new private LNG fueling station at Kroger’s Clackamas Distribution Center.

Additional 225 EV Units Planned for California and Arizona

Ecotality is talking up an expanded partnership with the Kroger supermarket chain which calls for more than 200 Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations and 25 DC fast chargers to be installed in key market areas. The multi-million dollar expansion will bring the total number of Ecotality’s Blink brand chargers at Kroger stores to nearly 300.
