Second Regional Seminar Set for March 17-18 in Helsinki
NGVA Europe is promoting L-CNG for Transport, its second regional seminar, being held March 17-18 in at the Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa in Finland.
“The Finnish fleet of gas-powered vehicles is today around 1700 vehicles,” the association says: an increase of some 30% in the last several years (985 units at the end of 2011, 1,300 units in 2012 and 1,700 units today).
Finland has 24 public gas-vehicle fueling stations, of which Gasum, the major gas company in Finland, owns 18. “In almost all of these CNG filling stations you can choose between natural gas and biogas,” NGVA Europe says.
New Import Terminals
Finland is building four new LNG terminals, all to be ready by 2019. “In the next four years Finland will double its potential for LNG use.”
The Helsinki speaker roster includes Antonio Tricas of the European Commission, Tommy Mattila of Skangass, Jukka Metsèlè of Gasum, Daniel Milione of Scania, and Philippe Heisch of Cryostar.
