$1.2 Million from New York State

Two Agencies Fund Cornucopia of Projects for Saving Energy:
Bicycles, Canal Boats, Nighttime Deliveries Are All in the Mix

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and New York State DoT are pumping $484,000 and $695,000 respecyively – leveraging an additional $700,000 in recipient cost-sharing – to reduce energy use and emissions “in all facets of transportation in the state.” Projects range from better bicycle lanes to more efficient freight delivery.
