Truckers Seek ‘Every Possible Ounce of Fuel Cost Savings,’
See Southern California Show as ‘Tremendous Opportunity’
ACT Expo, North America’s pre-eminent clean transportation event, has gotten even more support, as the American Trucking Associations, the largest national trade association for the trucking industry, has endorsed the gathering.
The Alternative Clean Transportation Expo takes place May 5-8 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. It is co-located with NGV Global 2014, the world natural gas vehicles meeting.
“As environmental sustainability and stewardship continue to grow in importance, ATA is pleased to work with the organizers of ACT Expo, which brings together many of the key stakeholders in alternative transportation fuels,” ATA president and CEO Bill Graves says in an ACT Expo release.
‘Economic and Environmental Benefits’
“As our members look for every possible ounce of fuel cost savings, with an eye on coming fuel efficiency regulations, ACT Expo is a tremendous opportunity to learn more about the economic and environmental benefits of using alternative fuels and heavy-duty trucking efficiency technologies,” Graves said.
“We hope this event will be the first of many opportunities our two organizations have to work together.”
AACT Expo attendees can participate in such free pre-conference events as the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) and Carbon War Room Trucking Efficiency Workshop, the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) Lead the Way Summit, the Women in ACT Summit, and the U.S. EPA SmartWay Program Workshop with Penske.
ACT Expo keynote speakers include Dennis Slagle of Volvo Group and Ronald Litzinger of Southern California Edison.
ACT Expo is organized by Fleets & Fuels publisher GNA – Gladstein, Neandross & Associates.
