New 200-Mile, All-Battery Chevy Bolt EV to Sell for $30,000

GM’s Chevrolet Volt for 2016 will have new LG battery chemistry affording an all-electric range of about 50 miles while its range-extending engine will accept regular gasoline. Via Motors said Thursday that chief spokesman Bob Lutz, “father of the Chevy Volt and automotive industry icon,” plans to unveil three new full-size, range-extended electric vehicles at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 14.
