Nebraska Rebates for AFVs and Fueling

State Will Pay Up to Half the Cost of Conversion, to $4,500

The Nebraska Energy Office (NEO) is administering a new program aimed at deploying – and helping fuel – a greater number of clean vehicles in the state. The rebate program applies to new vehicles running on CNG compressed natural gas, LNG/liquefied natural gas, LPG/propane autogas, and hydrogen. Also included are rebates for residential CNG dispensing equipment.

Metropolitan Utilities District Supports Deployment

Omaha’s Papillion Sanitation has begun deploying compressed natural gas-fueled garbage trucks with the financial assistance of the local Metropolitan Utilities District. A first CNG truck has been delivered and three more are expected in the next six months.

Big Green Q Food Truck Gets Nebraska Funding

A startup food service, Big Green Q, has been able to acquire its first “catering kitchen” truck for food preparation and delivery truck through the state of Nebraska’s alternative fuel vehicle program. Compressed natural gas powers the truck’s engine and its kitchen equipment and power generator.

Metropolitan Utilities District to Supply New Trillium CNG Station,
Partners Include the Freightliner Dealer TCC and Operator Werner

Omaha’s Metropolitan Utilities District says it will provide natural gas for a new Trillium CNG fueling station opening late this summer to serve trucks and other fleet vehicles.
