As of the New Year, all drayage trucks calling at the Port of Los Angeles have to meet or exceed 2007’s new-truck emissions standards, POLA says, forecasting that, as a result of a progressive ban adopted in 2006 and enacted in 2008, 1,473 of the current drayage fleet of 11,772 trucks serving the port through 2011 will be gone effective this week.
