Procter & Gamble Exceeds CNG Goal

Directs Its Carriers to Use CNG Fuel in Their Trucks

Procter & Gamble has exceeded its goal of 20% compressed natural gas fuel use by its trucking contractors, reporting that contracts are in place for 25% diesel displacement to deliver products including Bounty, Charmin, and Pampers to the Northeast market.

20% of Consumer Giant’s For-Hire Truck Loads on Natural Gas

Procter & Gamble – with brands like Ivory, Tide, Bounty and Crest – is pushing its for-hire truckers to use natural gas. P&G said last week that beginning next month, it “will work with eight transportation carriers to convert up to 20% of its North America truck loads to natural gas vehicles within two years.” updated July 2
