Lear ‘to Develop, Make and Supply’ Using Qualcomm Halo Technology

Qualcomm and Lear Corp said this morning that they’ve entered into a license agreement for WEVC/wireless electric vehicle charging. Lear is to manufacture equipment to charge EVs inductively using Qualcomm Halo technology – no plugging-in.

Saturday Event Is Round 6 of All-Battery World Circuit

Organizers are girding for Round 6 of this year’s FIA Formula E 100% battery-electric race, which makes its only U.S. stop in Long Beach, Calif. on Saturday, April 2.

Nine teams, each with two drivers, are currently competing in the ten-city circuit, which commenced in Beijing in October and will finish in London in July.

Brusa, an automotive Tier 1 power electronics supplier, has licensed patented Qualcomm Halo inventions to help commercialize its WEVC systems for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles, Qualcomm says.
