Kwik Trip for All of the Alternatives

The Kwik Trip chain of upper Midwest convenience stores – more than 400 strong – has commenced its ambitious plan to offer alternative fuels at the retail level, opening a multifaceted alt fuels station at its headquarters in La Crosse, Wisc., and planning many more.
Equipment suppliers include ANGI Energy Systems and Clean Fuel Connection, which supplies Nanobox and Microbox units from Argentina’s Galileo.

Lehigh CNG for C-Stores

Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Gas is moving ahead with retail compressed natural gas fueling at convenience stores. “We want to have 50 or 60 in the next couple of years,” says alternative fuel manager Sil Lutkewitte.

Lehigh provides CNG for Center Area Transit and at a Uni-Mart store in State College, Pa., and will open two more CNG stations in the Philadelphia area by the end of May.

350Green Places DC Fast-Charger

Los Angeles-based 350Green reports installation of the first public retail fast charging outlet in California, at the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto. The unit at the Simon Property Group mall is the first of 25 DC fast chargers planned for the San Francisco Bay Area by year-end, all to be supplied by Georgia’s Efacec USA.
